INJEKSI CAUSTIC SODA PADA CLARIFIED WATER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERFORMANCE UNIT MESIN REVERSEOSMOSIS (RO) BUMI PALMA MILL (BPMM)
Abstract
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is the highest of membrane technology which is currently applied in the oil palm industry in the processing and purification of water. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of injection of caustic soda to water pH after the external water treatment and to determine the appropriate dose to improve performance engine units Reverse Osmosis (RO) in the Earth Palma Mill (BPMM). Guidelines for the analysis and calculation using Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Sinarmas Agribusiness and Food. Analysis of experimental data using tables and graphs analysis. Mathematical analysis using multiple linear regression. From the research and data analysis, the injection of caustic soda in the clarified water with flowmeter parameters, pH, TDS, turbidity has the positive effect on the performance of the RO in BPMM of 99.08%. Injection caustic soda proven to increase performance in terms of hours Operational RO cartridge, evidenced by similarities with the 95% significance level (α = 0.05) Y = 0,0040X1 3,2091X2 + + + 5,0225X4 0,0163X3 - 23.1180.
