Abstract

This research was conducted by comparing the result of the use of conventional seeds(mule) and seeds of a new model (bud chips) in the three sugar factories (Jatiroto, Semboro and Purwodadi) in PTPN XI, with the purpose of comparing the productivity of sugarcane (ton ha-1), rendement (%), productivity crystal (ton ha-1) every year and for three years from 2013 to 2015 between gardens using mules and bud chips in a sugar factory PTPN XI.Comparative descriptive quantitative research methods. Data were analyzed using t-test two independent variable: X1 = seeds mule and X2 = seeds bud chips. The variable observed: the productivity of sugarcane (ton ha-1), remdement (%) and productivity crystal (ton ha-1) per year (2013, 2014 and 2015) and as a whole over three years (2013-2015)Result of the showed no significant difference in the productivity of sugarcane (ton ha-1), rendement (%) and productivity crystal (ton ha-1) between gardens using mules and bud chips on a variety of PS 881 and BL in each year as well as a whole over the period of three years, however the use of this bud chips have advantages compared to the use of captive mule is higher, needs fewer seeds in the same area, the number of tillers and more uniform growth.
