PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS APLIKASI LIMBAH CAIR PABRIK KELAPA SAWIT DAN TANDAN KOSONG SAWIT TERHADAP PRODUKSI KELAPA SAWIT
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the application of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (OPEFB) and Oil Palm Liquid Waste (OPLW) on oil palm production and the agronomic character of oil palm plants. This research was conducted at the Muara Kandis Estate (MKNE), PT. Djuandasawit Lestari (DSL), a subsidiary of PT. Sinar Mas is located in PSM South Sumatra. The study used the agronomic survey method by measuring several agronomic characters in 3 blocks applied by OPEFB, 3 blocks applied by OPLW and 3 blocks at locations not both applied (inorganic fertilization as a control). In addition, secondary data were also collected which included production data for 2014-2018, fertilization data, and rainfall data for 2012-2018. Production data and agronomic traits that have been obtained are then analyzed using the t test at 5% significance level to determine the difference between the application of inorganic fertilization treatment, OPEFB, and OPLW. The results showed that the production of oil palm on land applied by inorganic fertilizers gave the same results as the OPEFB application, but it was higher in the land that was applied by OPLW. The OPEFB and OPLW applications tend to provide higher production rates compared to those applied by inorganic fertilizers. The agronomic character of the land applied by OPEFB and OPLW tends to give better results compared to the land which is applied with inorganic fertilizer.
