Abstract
The soybean development is directed to the lowlands and medium lands, the main obstacle to the development of soybeans in medium lands related to, among others, the temperature stress, low soil fertility and limited availability of irrigation, plants may experience water stress or water logging . This study aims at determining the effect of GA3 and Fosfor fertilizers on growth and yield of black soybeans in the water logging condition. The field experiment was done from May – August 2007. The field experiment using black soybean Mallika varieties and Factorial Design 2 x 3 x 3 with 3 replications, arranged in the Randomized Complete Block Design. The first factor was the soil humidity which consisted of 2 levels: 1. water logging of 50% of field capacity; 2. field capacity; The second factor was the concentration of GA3 which consisted of three levels, namely: 1. GA3 of 0 ppm; 2. GA3 of 100 ppm; 3. GA3 of 200 ppm. The third factor was the SP-36 fertilizer consisted of 3 levels: 1. SP 36-0 kg/ha; 2. SP 36-75 kg/ha; 3. SP 36-150 kg/ha. The results showed that Mallika black soybean planted on the water logging condition with 100 ppm GA3 and fertilizer SP 36 of 75 kg/ha increased the growth and yield by 28.30% from 1.44 tons/ha to 1.98 tons/ha compared to the one without GA3 and SP 36 on the field capacity condition. The yield of Mallika black soybean was already exceeding the national soybean production target for 1.4 tons / ha.
